One contractor for the whole list
Clete Miller started BelAir Construction in 1996 and has run it ever since. It is a genuine jack-of-all-trades operation: a sticking door and a ground-up house are both normal weeks, and most jobs land somewhere between the two.
That matters because most people do not have a job, they have a list. Handled here, the list is one phone call instead of four — and if part of it turns out to be bigger than it looked, it is the same company that handles the renovation.

Clete comes out, looks at the site, and talks through what is realistic — including where the money is best spent and where it isn't.

You get the scope in writing, so you can see what is and isn't included before anyone picks up a tool.

The build
The work runs to the scope you agreed. Anything that changes gets discussed with you first, not billed afterwards.

What BelAir Construction does
BelAir Construction is a licensed and insured general contractor in Nampa, Idaho — family owned and operated by Clete Miller since 1996. The honest description is jack of all trades: the list runs from a handyman repair that takes an afternoon through to a new home built from the ground up.
Day to day that means handyman work and general repairs, renovations and room additions, new builds, decks and outdoor structures, pole barns and barn renovations, garage door installation and service, landscape excavation and site work, property maintenance and cleanouts, and home inspections.
The advantage of that spread is simple. Most homeowners have a list, not a job. A sticking garage door, a fence panel down, gutters to sort and a bathroom they have been meaning to redo is four contractors and four rounds of phone tag — or it is one call here.
Working to a real budget
Not every job has an open budget, and pretending otherwise wastes everyone's time. BelAir works to the number you actually have, and that often means reclaimed material or a sensible alternative product rather than the catalogue option.
That is a genuine choice, not a downgrade. Plenty of work looks better and lasts just as long done with salvaged timber or a different material, and the difference goes back in your pocket. If an alternative is a bad idea for your particular job, you will be told that instead.
There is no pricing on this site and there will not be. Every job gets looked at and quoted, because a number given sight-unseen is either padded to be safe or wrong.
Where we work, and how fast
The shop is on Sunrise Rim Road in Nampa, and the working radius is about 45 miles. Nampa and Caldwell are home ground in Canyon County; Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Kuna and Star are regular work on the Ada County side, with Middleton close by to the north.
Typical timing is out to look at the project within 5 to 7 days, with most work starting inside the month. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
The rest is unglamorous and is why the phone still rings after nearly thirty years: calls returned promptly, showing up when we said we would, and doing what was agreed at the estimate. Current and local references are available if you want to check that before committing.

What kind of work do you take on?
Just about anything on a house or a property. BelAir is a general contractor and a jack of all trades — handyman repairs, renovations and additions, new builds, decks, pole barns and barn work, garage doors, excavation and site work, property cleanouts and maintenance, and home inspections.
Do you take small jobs, or only big projects?
Small jobs are genuinely welcome — a lot of the work is handyman lists that other contractors will not drive out for. If you have several small things, send the whole list and they can usually be done in one visit.

BelAir Construction is based in Nampa and works within about a 45-mile radius, covering the greater Boise metro and the Treasure Valley — including Caldwell, Meridian, Boise, Middleton, Star, Kuna, Eagle, Melba, Wilder, Parma, Marsing and Emmett.
