Accessibility
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is a standard rather than a promise of perfection, so if something here does not work for you, we would genuinely like to know.
What that means in practice
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on whatever is currently selected.
- A skip link at the very start of each page jumps straight past the navigation to the main content.
- Text and background colors meet AA contrast ratios, including the text over the photograph at the top of the homepage.
- Headings run in a logical order with one first-level heading per page, so screen-reader navigation by heading works properly.
- Every form field has a real, permanently visible label — not a placeholder standing in for one — and errors are announced rather than only shown.
- Photographs carry descriptive alternative text. Images that are purely decorative are marked as such so they are skipped rather than read out.
- Animation is disabled entirely if your device is set to reduce motion, and the site works fully without JavaScript.
- Text can be zoomed to 200% without content being cut off or overlapping.
No accessibility overlay
This site deliberately does not use an accessibility overlay widget. Overlays sit on top of a page and frequently interfere with the screen readers and browser settings people already use successfully. Building the page accessibly in the first place is the better answer.
